Karpathos - Jewel of the Dodecanese
Welcome to Karpathos, the second largest of the Dodecanese islands and one of the most spectacular in Greece. The island is distinguished by rugged mountains in the north, fertile fields in the south, and an abundance of wildflowers in the winter and spring. Stunning beaches without crowds are a signature landscape nestled between the island's craggy cliffs. There are 11 villages, each of them distinct in their own way. Karpathos is characterized by its people, the Karpathians. They are dedicated to the customs of their ancestors. Centuries old traditions of singing and dancing are still performed today.
