Paul Vittoroulis

[ Back to Articles ]

November 19, 2008

When someone asks Paul Vittoroulis, when he began working, his answer is typical of himself: “From… always!"Paul Vittoroulis

With this he means, as he explains afterwards, he began working at a young age in the rock quarries of Penteli and in Kozani. But his restless spirit and his desire to create, lead him at age 17 to Canada. While there he comes in contact, for first time, with the restaurant business which he excels afterwards, in which day, he owns the Wilt Chamberlains Restaurant, Sports Emporium and Games in Florida, USA.

In this business at an adolescent age Paul Vittoroulis displayed his leadership and administrative capabilities. He was offered by a tired and close to retirement restaurant owner to manage a restaurant that was losing money for a long time, and in one month’s time, he presented the owner with a bankbook with $15.000! This at the age of 19 years old!

From then on, with a lot of new experiences and successes, he created a name for himself. In particular he proudly confesses that, he could mix “70 difficult cocktails in record time, without looking at the recipes!”

Those kinds of cocktails - and in particular one called ‘Northern Lights Special’ became the reason for the start of the personal career of his dream. As a War Correspondent, this brought him in contact with the entire world, often in difficult historical moments.

One evening, in a bar that Paul managed, there was a gathering of pilots and journalist in Canada. Thus, he made his first contact with CJY of Canada.

War Correspondents always impressed him; they risked their own lives, by entering the front lines of war, often in difficult meteorological conditions, in order to inform the rest of the world with news and information. His decision to become a correspondent was due in part to his personal ambition to “fly higher and further!”

The economic success that he enjoyed from a relatively young age him made him work that much harder to achieve more of his life’s dreams. He searched for more knowledge and enjoyed the continuous adventure in finding this knowledge. He did not desire to remain in the restaurant business all his life.

He met the challenge for his life’s economic independence ‘forever’ head on. He was inspired by the possibility of unlimited wealth creation.

Paul Vittoroulis’ life experiences as a war correspondent and cameraman for 25 years, with the largest American Television Networks notably CBS, ABC, and NBC lead him to become one of the highest paid correspondents in the world!

He was assigned to:

  • The India - Pakistan  war, 1971
  • Civil war in Lebanon, 1976
  • The Arab - Israeli war in the Middle East, 1973
  • The invasion of Cyprus, 1974
