Mary Angelides-Pazartzis

Mary Angelides-Pazartzis was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended the the University of Pittsburgh and earned a B.A. in education studies. She completed her Master of Arts at Ball State University. She concentrated he studies in ‘Learning Disabilities’ and ‘Special Needs’ of children. She has taught in the Fort Couch Schools in South Hills Pennsylvania.
Upon leaving the U.S. from Athens, she began teaching in the 'American Community Schools' and taught there for over 3 decades. While there, she received an "Excellent Achievement award for 1991-1992 school years.
In the 1960's and 70’s she accompanied her husband, Constantine Pazartzis while serving Unesco, to many posts in Africa, mainly the Congo. Her father, Minas Angelides, was co-founder of KEPA in the 1920's. Mary was co-founder of KEPA's women’s lodge ‘Artemis’ in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
Since 2005 has been president of the ‘Dodecanese Melissa’ and its ultimate goal is providing Dodecanese university level students with a monthly grant until their studies are completed. For 2008-2010, 76 students have received this grant.
