Diafani

Diafani is the port for the town of Olympos and is located on the east side of the island, 8 km. (5 miles) east of Olympos and 67 km. (41.6 miles) north of Pigadia.

 

Diafani new port

 

It was discovered by the inhabitants of Olympos around 1850, and since then has been used as a center for supplies to Olympos. North of Diafani is the pebble beach called Vananda.

Diafani Fountain

 

Today Diafani has small hotels, taverns, mini markets, and a church with some fantastic fresco paintings.
