Getting to Karpathos Karpathos International Airport (AOK) serves as the entry point for most of the visitors to Karpathos. Olympic Airlines is the only Greek airline with direct flights from Athens (ATH) and from the neighboring islands of Rhodes (RHO), Sitia (JSH) in Crete and Kasos (KSJ) to Karpathos. During the summer season, several charter airlines from European destinations serve the island. The charter airline companies of Air Berlin, and Austrian Airline, from Düsseldorf (DUS) and Munich (MUC) in Germany, and from Graz (GRZ) Austria respectively, all have direct flights to Karpathos. It is also possible to visit Karpathos by ferry boat. The ferry company of Lane Lines provides ferry boats to Karpathos. In season ferries may be boarded for Karpathos from the ports of: Piraeus, Rhodes, Heraklion, Agios Nikolaos, Sitia, Milos, Chalki and Kasos. The ferry companies of Bleu Star Ferries and GA Ferries have not to this date confirmed their schedule for the 2008 summer season. They will be posted when confirmed by the ferry companies.
