Spoa
Spoa is a rural village on the narrowest point of the island which is inhabited by 350 people, and is about 7 km or a half hour walk from Mesochori and 38 km NW of Pigadia. Spoa is considered to be the most hospitable village on Karpathos and the home made sardines are a delicious local specialty. There are two cafes at the entrance to the village by the parking area for refreshments and the local appetizers or ‘mezedes’. The small picturesque bay of ‘Agios Nikolaos’ is 6 km (3.7 mi) from Spoa. It has a secluded beach and a tavern with fresh fish daily. Click here to go back
